This Week

Caught up with friends in London, went to have dinner with my family, and then came to Lisbon to hang with one of my friends and explore. It’s a really nice city, and I’m really liking it.

For my birthday, I finally launched (with some help from my friend Catarina), “Just say NO to thankless emotional labour” tshirts. Super excited! You can buy them here, proceeds are going to be split between two orgs in my two homes. in Europe, and in Colombia, and I’ll match up to 500 USD each.

Hectic! We launched, and now we have to figure out working post-launch effectively.

Really excited, I’m going to be co-emcee-ing Try!Swift NYC in September.

Still reading A Window Opens, and re-reading Leadership and Self Deception. This was a life-changing book for me when I read it originally, but that was a long time ago. It’s interesting to go back and think about what lessons from it I have really internalised.

My blog post “Thankless Emotional Labour as Management Training” is now on BeLeaderly.

A new edition of Technically Speaking is out.

I sent a Where the Hell is Cate letter from BHX.
