When I was apartment hunting in KW, I went to see the knit the bridge project in nearby Cambridge. It was a really awesome project, and it made me excited to move to KW. The energy I felt here from the first time I visited – coincidentally when Ignite was on – has just been tremendous.
Fast forward a little over 6 months – and I’m thrilled to announce and be a part of Awesome Foundation KW. Co-conspirators Gabrielle Clermont, Ramy Nassar and I have been, well, conspiring, and putting together our first board of awesome trustees.
I’ve thought since I got here that KW is an area full of creativity and awesome, that it was a place that would just get the AF model. My hope is that an AF here will enable a few more amazing people to do more incredible things. As ever, I’m excited to be a small part in making crazy ideas reality.
Stay tuned on our blog and twitter – we’re open for submissions and expect to give away our first award in early May.
