Life
Mostly just sorting things out before leaving! Booking last bits of this trip etc. Went to Frankfurt for the night, then on to LA for my friend’s wedding, which was great – it’s wonderful to see her so happy. Flight out of LA was cancelled, which was really stressful because I was going straight into a workshop in Denver! Managed to get a flight to Colorado Springs (an hour away) and cab it to Denver… so I was only about 20 minutes late. Exhausting, though!
Work
So hectic! Sent out a build of Show and Hide with the visual refresh done. Designer and I are pretty excited about it. We also have intro screens so I think bar some minor UX tidyup we’re nearly ready to go. Can’t wait!
Been working on some content for ABI which I hope will be useful for people.
Cranking on the dev project.
Prepped and gave our first in person Technically Speaking workshop! Was super exciting. Went pretty well, we think, and we have some concrete ideas on how to improve it so that’s great.
Places
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Frankfurt airport. Hated it.
Media
Finished watching Ally McBeal (I didn’t hate season 5 as much this time as I did last time… maybe because I knew why Robert Downey Jr got written out). Watching Covert Affairs (last season! So dramatic) and Big Bang Theory in the gym.
Finished Mental Traps. Read The Expat Diaries: Single in the City, and reading If You Don’t Know Me By Now.
